"Relative Algebraic Geometry"

Abstract:
The idea of relative algebraic geometry is to define a theory of schemes
over any symmetric monoidal category.
This notion generalizes the classical theory of schemes which are defined
over the symmetric monoidal category of abelian groups.
By considering for instance the monoidal category of sets
we obtain a category of schemes which are "under" Spec Z.
